What I am thinking is, what will happen if comedians want to branch out and not be one-dimensional characters? Not all of them want to do that but some do. Comedians play great roles off camera because it is easy to just play yourself. They do not have to learn about how their characters feel and what their character would be like if they were in real life, but some comedians want to try new roles.

What is the future for these type of comedians? Will it be possible for them to create a different character that has depth? Can you put them into a serious role and expect them to get it right?
